Energy services group Produced Water Absorbents has snapped up rival ProSep in a £5.7million deal.
The Ohio-headquartered group, which has its European base in Aberdeen, is will relocate the newly acquired arm – to be renamed PWA-ProSep – to Houston.
The company, which provides treatment solutions for the oil and gas sector, already employs 90 staff and plans to increase that to 110 within the next year.
“We have huge ambitions for this new entity as we understand the challenges that oil and gas operators face in managing crude oil, water and gas streams and keeping in compliance with environmental regulations,” said chief executive Neil Poxon.
