Bibby Remote Intervention Limited (BRIL) – Bibby Offshore’s sister company – has signed a multi-million pound contract for provision of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for an Olympic Shipping vessel.
The two 150 horse-power deep water Quasar ROVs will be installed onboard the construction support vessel (CSV), Olympic Ares, before the end of the year.
The commission is part of Bibby Offshore’s charter agreement with Olympic Shipping for the CSV signed in November this year and due to commence on seasonal basis at the end of the first quarter 2014.
“To deliver high quality products and services to our clients, we have invested significantly in our ROV fleet, including the addition of the 150hp Quasars to our 13 systems,” said Mike Arnold, chief operating officer of BRIL.
“We place a huge emphasis on collaborative working and our ROV team will have support from our onshore BRIL team in the delivery of this contract, ensuring that we maintain Bibby’s high standards.”
