Aberdeen-based subsea company Ennsub plans to expand its team after securing orders worth more than £7.5million for 2014.
The subsea design, engineering and technology company, whose board includes former Subsea 7 chief executive John Smith, will launch a recruitment drive for at least 10 new staff in 2014.
Ennsub says its £7.5million order book includes a major contract for a bespoke ultra deepwater deployment system for use in global subsea drilling operations, and an order for two ROV (remotely operate vehicle) deployment systems for use on a large subsea construction ship. Its recruitment drive will focus on finding experienced project managers, engineers, design engineers, technicians and workshop personnel.
“The progression of Ennsub from a business concept to a credible industry provider of bespoke subsea products has been fast-paced and incredibly rewarding,” said managing director Scott Macknocher.
“Competing against recognised subsea stalwarts is a challenge but we like to think our agile approach to business, and thorough understanding of what the end user needs, differentiate us from our peers. We are proud of the results already achieved and look forward to building on our strengths to become a world leader in the subsea sector.”
Formed in 2012, Ennsub recently invested £500,000 in a new production facility in Teesside, in north-east England. The base has product assembly and test facilities, client offices and a 3D design theatre.
