Former Cairn Energy finance director Kerry Crawford is to become the new finance chief at Scots oil firm Bowleven.
The 42-year-old, who joined Bowleven in 2008, will replace existing finance director John Brown, who is resigning to move to the United Arab Emirates.
Brown had been finance director with the Edinburgh-based firm, which has oil and gas operations in Africa, since 2004. Crawford, who had worked at Cairn for 10 years, was previously his deputy.
“Bowleven is very fortunate to be able to promote a high quality individual from within its team as its future Finance Director,” said Bowleven chairman Ronnie Hanna.
“Kerry has been a key member of the senior management team for many years and is a well-known and respected figure, both in the city and the oil industry at large.”
