Aberdeen engineering firm Plexus Holdings has extended its purchase agreement with GDF Suez with a new £1.5million deal for its services.
The company will provide a second Pos-Grip wellhead system for the exploration firm’s North Sea operations, following the original sale agreement from August 2011, worth £1.7 million.
“Having proved the superiority of our wellhead equipment in high-pressure/high-temperature, as evidenced by Plexus’ dominant share in this segment of the North Sea market, we are also receiving orders for wells operating in less extreme/low pressure environments, as this latest GDF order shows,” said Ben van Bilderbeek, Plexus Holdings’ chief executive.
“We believe the compelling combination of superior performance and cost savings will drive further orders to supply wells operating in less challenging conditions.”
The deal comes just a day after the firm picked up a £1million contract for its wellhead system from Maersk Oil for use in the Danish North Sea, while earlier this week they secured an extension to their deal with Wintershall for the North Sea.
