The chairman of offshore surveyor SeaBird Exploration is to quit the company“due to other commitments”.
Henrik Christensen, who has been chairman since 2011, will not seek re-election to the Norwegian firm’s board of directors. He also works as an attorney with law firm Ro Sommernes.
Åge Korsvold is set to take over as chairman of the seismic scanning group, which carries out 2D, 3D and 4D scans for the global oil and gas industry.
Korsvold, a former chief executive of major Norwegian financial services companies including Kistefos and Storebrand and board member at renewable energy company Green Resources, will be appointed following an extraordinary general meeting ahead of the company’s AGM in May.
