Offshore cable protection firm Tekmar Energy has enrolled two senior managers onto its technical team.
Dr Terry Sheldrake, former senior lecturer and research associate in mechanical engineering at the University of Sunderland, will join the company as a non-executive technical director, after 15 years as technology leader at GE Wellstream.
He will support the development and implementation of the firm’s products servicing the energy industry.
The company has also appointed Charlie Sullivan, a chartered engineer, as its technical sales manager to drive commercial and business development for new projects. He has joined Tekmar from a similar post at Wilton Engineering.
“Appointing Terry and Charlie greatly strengthens our technical team and enhances our industry standing for delivering on time and within budget for clients,” said James Ritchie, Tekmar Energy’s chief executive.
“Terry’s extensive experience in strategic planning and development of technology is a huge boost to the business. His knowledge should support us as we continue to bring new technologies, which minimise risk and drive down costs, to market while Charlie will play a key role in ensuring our growth is in line with our business strategy.”
