A report by Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce has found confidence within the oil and gas industry is at its lowest level in six years.
Uisdean Vass, an oil and gas partner with UK law firm Bond Dickinson, outlines two fiscal packages the government could potentially produce at this year’s Autumn Statement to restore confidence levels.
In an interview with Energy Voice, he said the fiscal policy confirmed next week by the Chancellor George Osborne would be “tremendously important” for the industry.
He said an effective fiscal policy and implementation of The Wood Review, could mitigate against the affect low oil prices were having on the industry.
