SBM Offshore has sold one of its vessels in a $150million deal.
The SBM Installer, a diving support and construction vessel (DSCV), has been snapped up by OS Installer.
The DSCV features a “double deck” design which improves safety and gives more deck space. It is equipped with a class III DP system and a fully integrated 12-man saturation diving system, capable of working in 300 metres of water.
Both parties have signed a memorandum of agreement, and SBM Offshore will charter the vessel under a long-term bareboat charter for a fixed period of 12 years.
The sale is expected to close at the end of this year.
