Canacol Energy has appointed a new member to its board of directors.
Francisco Diaz joins the board with a wealth of experience in multinational and private companies across various industries.
Mr Diaz is currently a managing partner of Evolvere Capital and serves on the board of several publicly traded companies in Latin America.
Michael Hibberd, chairman of the board of directors for Canacol Energy, said:”We are very pleased to have someone with as distinguished a track record as Francisco join Canacol’s board. He brings to Canacol not only a wide depth of experience covering a range of businesses and jurisdictions, but also superb in-country business, regulatory, and government relationships within Colombia.”
From 2004 -2011 Mr Diaz was president and chief executive of Organizacion Corona.
He will take on the role with immediate effect.
