Subsea construction firm Ocean Installer said today it had secured more work for Norwegian oil giant Statoil on the Visund and Troll B fields.
The work on Visund includes the load out and transportation of new umbilical riser and the installation of a new umbilical riser system and other equipment.
On Troll B, Ocean Installer will carry out subsea disconnection and removal of existing riser, installation and subsea tie-in of a new riser and the transportation and offloading of an existing riser at the Stord base.
The Stavanger-based company will use a large construction support vessel, Normand Vision, for both projects.
Ocean Installer chief executive Steinar Riise said: “We are pleased to have secured more work for a key client like Statoil.
“The Norwegian Continental Shelf continues to be an area of great importance to us.”
The Visund field is situated in the Tampen area, about 87 miles west of Sognefjorden and 14 miles north-east of the Gullfaks field. Troll is located about 50 miles west of Bergen.
The Troll B project will takes place in June, while the Visund umbilical offshore operations will take place in August.
