Scottish technology firm Cyberhawk Innovations has appointed new sales managers with a view to growing its business in the south-east Asian and Middle East oil and gas markets.
Chen Choon How in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Ajay Sethi in Abu Dhabi were recruited after a £1.3million investment from Scottish Equity Partners and the Scottish Investment Bank 18 months ago.
Livingston-based Cyberhawk is a specialist in industrial inspection and survey using remotely operated aerial vehicles (ROAVs).
It has completed projects for each of the “big six” energy suppliers in the UK and supermajors in the offshore industry, conducting inspections and surveys on electricity networks, power stations, oil and gas sites and windfarms throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Chief executive Craig Roberts said: “Our offices in Kualu Lumpur and Abu Dhabi are key to effectively serving our rapidly growing customer base in the Middle East and south-east Asia.
“While the use of ROAV technology is becoming well-established in the UK and Europe, interest in the methodology is rapidly increasing in other parts of the world, particularly within the oil and gas and utilities markets.”
