Antrim Energy has appointed its chief executive to its board of directors.
Anthony Potter has taken up the additional position with immediate effect.
Mr Potter is a chartered accountant with more than 26 years experience in oil and gas and development companies.
He has provided strategic planning, financing, M&A, tax and risk management advice in senior management capacities in the private and public oil and gas sectors.
Earlier this year Sound Oil withdrew its offer to acquire Antrim Energy amidst the global drop in oil prices.
The company, which has revealed its intentions to make an offer in November last year, said they were no longer proceeding any further with the deal.
Antrim Energy said at the time it would consider the £6.35million offer.
