A Scottish subsea community is to hear how processing can increase production and prolong the economic lifetime of a field.
At an event organised by Subsea UK, the Aker Solutions seminar in Aberdeeen will address oil recovery solutions, water injection technology and subsea power systems.
Marco Gabelloni, of Aker’s emerging subsea technology team will also discuss the firm’s pump program, Multibooster alongside future subsea projects and developments.
Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK said: “As the global oil and gas industry speculates just how long worldwide oil supplies will keep up with demand, operators are faced with two challenges – how to get more out of their reservoirs and how to manage deepwater developments.
“As an industry, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of subsea technology to address these challenges. Research and development work is one of our key priorities. It helps us identify and deliver smarter, more cost effective ways to meet customer needs, which is crucial in the current climate.

The event takes place today at Aker’s base at Aberdeen International Business Park, Dyce.
