Singapore’s EMAS Offshore has appointed Captain Adarash Kumar as its new chief executive.
The new boss replaces Jon Dunstan, who has resigned.
Kumar, 55, has more than 25 years of experience in the marine industry. Prior to joining he was Ezra Holdings Limited’s Group chief operating officer.
EMAS executive chairman Lee Kian Soo said: “With his vast number of years of experience in the offshore industry, Captain Kumar is a strong business leader we are fortunate to have in today’s challenging oil and gas environment.
“He will be able to bring strategic insights to drive EMAS Offshore’s performance, maintain our leading position in Asia, and penetrate West Africa, which we have identified as a key market for us to grow in.”
Former chief executive Dunston will remain with EMAS Offshore to handover and assist Kumar until February 2016.
Kumar has stepped down from Ezra as an executive director of its Board and his position as Group chief operating officer, to fully concentrate on his new role with EMAS Offshore.
