Aker Solutions has recruited an upstream manager from oil major BP to lead its maintenance, modifications and operations (MMO) business in the UK.
Craig Wiggins, who will be based in Aberdeen, will have responsibility for the company’s brownfield engineering capability in the region.
His most recent role had seen him focussed on delivering efficiencies within BP’s global upstream business.
Wiggins previously also worked for Shell and Petrofac in a number of senior operational and business improvement roles.
He said:“I am delighted to join Aker Solutions and lead the MMO business at an important time for the organization.
“Aker Solutions has a strong client base and an excellent track record in the North Sea. I look forward to the next stage of our development as we build on our excellent customer relationships and deliver key projects for our customers on the UK continental shelf and beyond.”
David Clark, regional president for Aker Solutions in the UK and Africa, said Wiggins strong track record in the MMO area and experience would bring “valuable insight and leadership” for the company.
