Former EV chief executive Francis Neill will take over the top spot at Houston-based Ziebel.
This is the fourth major leadership position for Neill in quick succession.
He was managing director of Brinker for a year before taking over as chief executive of Gravitec Downhole Instruments for 19 months. He spent just less than five years leading downhole firm EV before being named Ziebel’s chief executive.
Neill, 55, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Bristol in England
Ziebel manages composite rod well intervention for the oil and gas industry.
“It is incredibly tough times in the oil and gas industry, but Ziebel has some great technology to enable operators to increase reservoir recovery factors,” said Neill.
“The start-up of our operations in the US has been well received, and the value of Z-Rod applications for unconventional wells is being demonstrated.
