A worker has been evacuated from the North Alwyn platform after becoming unwell.
The Shetland Coastguard were alerted yesterday the worker would need to be transferred to land from the platform, 143 miles off the coast of Aberdeen.
A spokeswoman for the UK Coastguard said the incident was currently ongoing.
She said: “We received a call at about 8.55pm on Wednesday, November 11 that a worker was unwell and would need to be transferred to hospital.
“The man is currently being evacuated by helicopter from the North Alwyn platform to Sumburgh.”
