Marine and subsea company IMES has secured new contracts worth £750,000 with clients in the oil and gas industry.
The Aberdeen-based firm has won a three-year deal for the provision of lifting inspection services on behalf of offshore survey company Fugro, covering four vessels.
In addition, a three-year contract by subsea inspection, repair maintenance (IRM) has been awarded by Harkand to provide lifting inspection, wire rope inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services for three vessels in Aberdeen and other UK ports.
Chief operating officer Jason Smith,said: “Despite the present challenging economic conditions, we are remaining upbeat about the year ahead.
Ewan Giles, business development manager at IMES, said: “With both of these latest contract awards, we had a solid working relationship with the client where we had previously demonstrated our knowledge and expertise which has since resulted in winning additional projects.”
IMES provides of lifting and inspection services, wire rope management, engineering and design consultancy and load measurement products.
It employs 70 people across bases in the UK, US, Singapore and the Netherlands.
