DNV GL has moved its staff in Aberdeen to one hub after relocation its offices from another building in the city.
The company said its specialist Marine Warranty and Dynamic positioning provision team will move from offices on Market Street to Regent Quay, alongside the company’s other units.
Last year the company was awarded a contract for the provision of Marine Warranty, Operations and Consultancy Services for the Shah Deniz 2 project.
Two contracts were also awarded in the North Sea to support decommissioning activity.
Bror Berge, head of department with DNV GL’s Noble Denton marine services, said: “The move underlines what has been an extremely successful year for our specialist team of master mariners, naval architects and engineers who draw upon decades of Noble Denton marine services experience.
“Despite fluctuating market conditions and cost-cutting challenges, our marine services have been in demand both in the North Sea and abroad, particularly in Kazakhstan and West Africa.
“In the year ahead, we want to grow our marine warranty and decommissioning services in the North Sea where 140 fields are potentially shutting down over the next five years. This is a huge technical, logistical and financial challenge for operators and our comprehensive suite of advisory services can assist to ensure that massive undertaking is run to budget and schedule with safety as the highest priority.”
