The number of assets in the North Sea that need to be decommissioned is on the rise. According to Shell around 470 installations will be decommissioned in the UK sector of the North Sea over the next 30-40 years.
Petrodec has successfully removed topsides from the A2D platform at the Amethyst field in the southern North Sea ahead of dismantling in the Netherlands.
A clutch of new contracts, including three signed in the UK over the last month, are expected to help energy services firm WellGear globally double in size over the next two years.
