Blaze Manufacturing has formed an alliance with Norwegian firm Vinje Inustri AS to offer its technology to the sector’s aging platforms.
The pair will collaborate on funnelling Blaze’s Aberdeen-based technology into the Norwegian marketplace.
Blaze’s Flex-Flo modular system has been developed primarily for firewater deluge in Asset Life Extension (ALE) and decommissioning projects.
Managing director of Blaze Manufacturing Solutions, Howard Johnson, said: “Vinje’s in-depth experience in the hose and piping sector provides a perfect fit for Blaze and where we are looking to position the business in Norway.
“Many onshore and offshore platforms are now over 30 years old and in terms of design life, they have surpassed all of the original expectations. Therefore, to further increase safety and reduce costs for our clients, we have developed the new FLEX-FLO™ system – an enhancement of our signature system, FLAMESHIELD 300™. The Blaze team is really looking forward to collaborating with Vinje and working together to expand the awareness and increase the potential of this new, innovative system.”
Blaze will be showcasing the technology, which can be applied without a production shutdown, at this year’s ONS Exhibition and Conference.
