Supply chain companies will have a chance to promote themselves in poster format at next month’s Offshore Decommissioning Conference in St Andrews.
The posters will be displayed during the supply chain excellence session at the event, which will be held at the Fairmont Hotel from November 14-16.
Submissions are being invited on a wide range of topics, including cost effectiveness and innovative technologies.
Steven Alexander, managing director of SFF Services, said taking part in the poster session last year helped his company make new connections.
Mr Alexander said: “As providers of marine services to the offshore industry, we exhibited a poster of our decommissioning capabilities at last year’s conference.
“By doing so, we struck up a relationship with fellow-exhibitor, Kongsberg, and have since undertaken a successful joint trial, bringing our vessels and marine knowledge together with a Kongsberg AUV.”
Roger Esson, chief executive of event co-organisers Decom North Sea, said: “Based upon feedback regarding last year’s previous poster session, this opportunity to showcase expertise in poster format has been greatly appreciated by the industry.
“Not only does this session allow them to make direct contact with operators, it also provides the opportunity to understand the work undertaken by fellow members.
“The experience of SFF Services and Kongsberg illustrates that this has the potential to foster the collaborative, knowledge-sharing relationships that are central to a successful decommissioning industry.”
