Oil and gas service company Centrifuges Un-Limited is hoping to draw on its success in the North Sea and Middle East as it sets its sights on US opportunities.
Exhibiting at OTC this week, the Aberdeen-based company, which also has a service base in Dubai, says the creation of two specialist divisions has been a key factor in its recent growth.
Its heat transfer division specialises in mud cooling for high pressure high temperature (HPHT) drilling fluid management programmes, selling and renting mud temperature control systems worldwide. The firm’s mechanical separation division provides diesel fuel cleaning, oily water separation and slop treatment services.
Currently, around 40% of the company’s revenue comes from the UK, with the remainder generated in international markets. Sectors covered by Centrifuges Un-Limited include marine, onshore refineries and petrochemicals, onshore environmental, waste water plant, distilleries and the food processing industry, as well as oil and gas
Commenting on the company’s US ambitions, Centrifuges Un-Limited managing director Jim Shiach said: “We are hoping that the collective experience we have gained in our travels eastwards will stand us in good stead as we prepare to go west.
“Lessons learned and knowledge gained will be valuable assets as we seek to grow our presence in US markets and Houston is the obvious location from which to explore the possibilities and opportunities.
“Attending events such as OTC is crucial in furthering our understanding of the market, and fostering relationships within it.”
