It is a major event in the north-east social calendar.
But the Press and Journal’s Energy Snow Ball, held in association with North Sea helicopter operator CHC, is much more than a fantastic Christmas night out.
It is a way to recognise and celebrate the hard work being done in the oil and gas industry and one of the best networking opportunities.
Since the launch of the ball, which will be held at the AECC Arena on December 1, businesses have been lining up to buy tables and commit to backing the event which is sure to surpass expectations.
Jim Milne, chairman and managing director at Balmoral Group said: “As the sector returns to a solid footing we must recognise the great work that’s taken place in Aberdeen to strengthen our position in the industry.
“Events like the Snow Ball inspire confidence and that’s something we can all benefit from.”
Wendy Atkinson, business development manager at Mattioli Woods added: “Mattioli Woods is proud to sponsor The Press and Journal Energy Snow Ball as it’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate a year’s worth of hard work and dedication within the sector.”
Patricia Paterson, executive assistant of Apache North Sea, said the firm was “delighted” to give its support. She said: “This will be a fantastic community event giving the opportunity to network with friends and colleagues.”
Expro has also given its backing to the annual ball.
Neil Sims, vice president for Expro’s Europe CIS region said the company was “thrilled to continue its support”.
He added: “As a leading north-east event, it provides an ideal opportunity to reflect on the year, celebrating our success with customers, colleagues and solidify our connections with the broader energy industry.”
And Tracy Clark, director at ITC Hydraulic Services added: “We are pleased to continue our support with the Energy Snow Ball for the sixth year running.
“The ball is a well-attended event that offers a chance for customers, suppliers and work colleagues to socialise outwith the working environment.”
