An annual showcase of north-east business will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year and the organisers are busy making plans.
Public relations firm Granite PR has held the Granite Expo every year since 2011.
It is one of the north-east’s largest one-day business events and annually brings together organisations reflecting the region’s economic diversity, ranging from start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to global operators with links to the area.
The latest in the series took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel last week.
Billed as a “giant day of networking, cross-selling and knowledge sharing”, and opened by Aberdeen Lord Provost Barney Crockett, it was attended by hundreds of people.
Granite PR founder and managing director Brett Jackson said: “We are indebted to the many exhibitors, supporters and visitors who helped make the ninth Granite Expo a resounding success.
“Successfully gathering a wonderful mix of new businesses and some who have taken part each year since the start clearly demonstrates the appetite which exists for this event and we look forward to our milestone 10th anniversary on October 29 2020.”
The first expo in 2011 was believed to be the first SME showcase of its kind in the region and attracted more than 100 exhibitors.
