Spirits are high as the date for the eagerly anticipated Press & Journal Energy Ball is right around the corner.
With a total of 14 sponsors and the event taking place in Aberdeen’s new world-class entertainment venue – P&J Live – it is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
The ball, which aims to celebrate the hard work of the oil and gas industry, will be held in sponsorship with technology firm Samsung, along with a line-up of further established businesses.
Speaking of the event, Samsung Electronics UKs AV Northern Channel Manager (SEUK), Jerome Slater, said: “As the Energy Ball fast approaches, the Samsung team are excited to be attending the event for the first time, especially because it’s one of Scotland’s social highlights of the year.
“We look forward to enhancing our partner network and enjoying the evening’s entertainment, but more importantly, raising funds and awareness for the amazing charity – Scotland Charity Air Ambulance.
“DC Thomson are renowned for delivering top class events and we can’t wait to be a part of this one.”
Other sponsors include Logainair, Stuaff, Aberdein Considine, Baker Hughes, Balmoral Group, MHA Henderson Loggie and Hilton Abrdeen TECA.
Engineering and technology company Texo Group is the headline sponsor of the event, which will take place on Saturday November 30.
Robert Dalziel, managing director of Texo Group, said: “With just over a week away, we are all really looking forward to the Energy Ball.
“It is set to be a fantastic event set in the brand-new and state-of-the-art P&J Live venue.
“It will be a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues, both old and new, within the energy sector.”
The event will be hosted by TV personality Vernon Kay and offer outstanding entertainment from 14-piece showband Club Live.
All funds raised will go towards the lifesaving work of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA), which provides the country’s only charity-funded helicopter air ambulance – operating 12 hours a day, 365 days a year.
