A boss at Baker Hughes has hailed the “innovative atmosphere” and “pioneering spirit” on show at this year’s Subsea Expo conference and exhibition in Aberdeen.
Neil Saunders, Executive Vice President, Oilfield Equipment, Baker Hughes, also told Energy Voice that the company was “defined” by the energy transition, and was “not a spectator” in the switch to a low carbon future.
Mr Saunders also commented on the findings of conference organiser Subsea UK’s recent business activity review.
It predicted a jobs boom for the subsea engineering sector and increased income from renewables.
Baker Hughes is headline sponsor of Subsea Expo, which is in its 15th year.
Around 6,500 delegates are expected to attend this year’s three-day event at P&J Live.
