Frontier Energy Network, the energy industry’s leading forum for collaboration and deal making, is gearing up for next week’s Energy 2050 Summit.
Set to take place in London and online 23 – 24 November, the Summit will bring key players in the energy community, and major energy consumers, together to discuss the challenges and opportunities around a low carbon future.
The two-day agenda features input from 45 organisations, including Scottish Power, Microsoft, National Grid, bp, Carbon Tracker, HyNet, Shell Ventures, IFC, the World Nuclear Transport Institute and BlackRock with over 100 companies represented in-person covering the whole energy value chain.
Discussing the Summit’s defining elements, Frontier CEO, Gayle Meikle comments: “This isn’t an “obvious” renewable energy agenda – this is mixing the most innovative renewable developers with the largest renewable organisations, and we’re including the more “traditional” oil and gas producers in there too.
“This is a chance for them all to connect and collaborate; now is the time to do so, and ultimately execute relatively high risk, innovative business which will lead to an energy transition which is effective, efficient and competitive in the long run. The result of that? A more sustainable future for us all and this is what Energy 2050 aims to facilitate.”
