Attracting more women into STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) oriented professions took centre state at an OTC 2014 business breakfast, following a discussion on the topic launched by Energy Voice early this year.
The Hands Across the Water event organised by Houston’s Greenspoint District addressed a delegation from Aberdeen, including Lord Provost George Adam, on business opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic – as well as the challenges in balancing out the energy gender field.
Mary LeMaster, curriculum manager at Girl Scouts of San Jancinto, and Christina Todd from Lone Star College – both speakers at the event – shared their views with Energy Voice.
