Business interested in taking a spot at the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Councils’ pavilion at Offshore Europe 2015 have been invited to get in touch and register their details.
The two local authorities, who have joined up to take a stand at the biennial event since 1996, said they will be recruiting north-east companies to take space on the pavilion shortly.
The Aberdeen City and Shire double-deck pavilion will host a series of meetings, workshops, presentations and seminars at the four-day exhibition which takes place from 8 – 11 September 2015 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC).
Lord Provost of Aberdeen George Adam said: “Following a record-breaking 40th year in 2013, we are delighted to welcome Offshore Europe to Aberdeen once again.
“As Europe’s premier oil and gas exhibition, Offshore Europe offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase the city to an international audience, highlighting our strengths in energy and renewables.
“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to this exciting and important event which always brings a buzz of energy with it. Local businesses should not miss out on the opportunity to exhibit on the Aberdeen City & Shire stand!”
Offshore Europe is expected to welcome over 63,000 delegates from across the globe in 2015.
The two-floor Aberdeen City and Shire pavilion has been designed to provide maximum space for local exposure, and will also include catering facilities, a lounge area and ICT station, as well as a number of exterior pods for businesses to gain prime position on the floor.
Rita Stephen, Economic and Business Development Manager added: “We are thrilled to once again be collaborating with Aberdeenshire Council to deliver the Aberdeen City & Shire pavilion.
“This event is of huge importance to the area and local businesses. Our Economic & Business Development Service is working on a number of exciting projects, which will further strengthen the city’s investment opportunities to ensure Aberdeen maintains its reputation as a global energy hub, and that our stakeholders have the means to deliver world class goods and services.
“We anticipate that the pavilion will be a hive of activity for the duration of the exhibition, and this opportunity to join the City & Shire pavilion is invaluable.”
The upper deck of the facility will provide a business lounge, including catering facilities for hospitality. Stand sharers will be able to utilise this space for presentations, workshops, receptions and business meetings. The ground floor will feature an open plan hospitality area with seating enabling companies to network.
