There has been a leadership change at the helm of Statoil’s Aberdeen operations, according to the Norwegian operator.
Gunnar Breivik will leave his role as managing director for Statoil Production UK and head of the Aberdeen office on October 1.
He will be replaced by Tove Stuhr Sjøblom, who is currently senior vice president for Sub-Sahara Africa in Statoil’s business area for international development and production.
Tove started her career in Norse Hydro ASA as an exploration geophysicist and project leader before taking over the asset management of the Ormen Lange field development. She was later appointed of exploration in Norway before joining Statoil’s corporate executive committee as chief staffs officer in 2011.
From October Gunnar will takeover as as the leader of the corporate investigation unit in Statoil.
The investigation unit is responsible for establishing facts and root causes in serious accidents, incidents and misconduct across the group to ensure that learnings are captured and that the company continuously improves its performance within HSE and security.
