Valve specialist Master Flo reached a major milestone this month when it manufactured its 100,000th choke valve.
Founded in 1979, the company’s choke valves, control valves, actuation and flow management solutions can be found in major onshore and offshore oil and gas fields around the world, including over 2,400 subsea chokes used by more than 75 operators.
President Mark McNeill said: “The 100,000 choke milestone is a testament to our focus on forming long-term partnerships with our customers, and the expertise of our people who produce the world-class products our customers rely on for their essential flow management.”
Ongoing investment in research and development has resulted in advancements such as Master Flo’s proprietary 5CB tungsten carbide for erosive and corrosive service, industry-leading high pressure high temperature capabilities, subsea chokes that set several world depth records (most recently 9,356 feet in 2008), and a full range of high performance actuation for surface and subsea.
McNeill added: “We continue to invest in innovation and our research and development is focused on introducing new products and technology.”
Master Flo Valve recently expanded its global network of sales and service centers. The Canadian company has offices in North and South America, Europe, Middle East and Far East.
