Energy travel specialist Munro’s has reported positive interest from UK companies keen to attend the world’s top oil show this year in Texas.
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in the US oil capital of Houston is being held from 2-5 May. Executives and experts from leading oil companies will be attending this important event, which last year attracted more than 94,000 people from 130 countries.
With just over one month after release, Munro’s report bookings are steady.
Munro’s managing director Murray Burnett said: “OTC provides delegates with the opportunity to view cutting edge technologies, make valuable new contacts and discuss the present challenges and opportunities. With the current difficulties facing the oils & gas industry, participation becomes more relevant.”
Munro’s OTC packages include British Airways flights to Houston, accommodation at the delegation’s regular hotel HQ, the Hilton Post Oak, as well as return airport transfers in Houston and transfers to and from the OTC show site. Munro’s will also provide onsite support by way of a help desk.
Mr Burnett said: “I am delighted to say that the hotel has completed a major room refurbishment, which will make our delegates visit to Houston all the more enjoyable. The hotel is the centre for the many networking activities, with various functions and other events during OTC.”
The event began life as a senior level conference in 1969 and saw Munro’s and the Press and Journal jointly sponsor the first official Scottish delegation visit in 1973.
