First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is to speak at the opening plenary session of the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference All-Energy next month.
The 17th annual event is expected to bring together some 7,000 delegates for a busy two day conference and seminar programme with around 400 speakers.
All-Energy’s Event Director, Jonathan Heastie of organisers, Reed Exhibitions, said he was “delighted” that the First Minister was attending the event at the Glasgow SECC on May 10 to 11.
He added: “It’s an event that buzzes with enthusiasm from exhibitors eager to do business and visitors just as eager to learn and to engage with exhibitors and conference speakers. We have a superb exhibitor list with a broad range of highly relevant exhibits, and a stellar conference line-up.
“The First Minister’s presence will add to both the topicality and significance of the programme.”
Scottish Government officials will also have a role to play in sessions such as Energy Efficiency and Onshore Wind and Local Energy and Heat.
Other sessions will cover topics such as bioenergy, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen fuel cells, hydropower, marine renewables, and offshore wind.
In addition to the main conference the ‘quick fire’ exhibition show floor theatres are devoted to marine renewables; and community/local energy and offshore wind, and energy efficiency.
Up to 400 exhibiting companies are expected to be at the conference.
