Offshore support company Viking SeaTech has brought its specialist mooring school to Houston.
The firm, which was acquired by the US-based Actuant Corporation for a bumper $225million last year, will be providing educational sessions around various mooring systems and planning offshore drilling activities.
Tom Bower, Viking SeaTech president for the Americas, said: “We have been hugely successful with introducing our Mooring Schools scheme to clients worldwide. We see OTC as the perfect platform to introduce the technical aspects of mooring to a global audience.
“Viking SeaTech is one of the largest publically owned mooring companies in the world. With the backing of our parent company we possess great strength in numbers and are financially secure.”
The sessions are due to take place today at the Offshore Technology Conference.
