Peterson has launched new technology aimed at the oil and gas supply chain.
Following a successful roll-out in the North Sea, the logistics provider introduced its new platform, eCargo, at this year’s Offshore Technology Conference.
The technology provides real time data of shipments, allowing the operator to see cargo activity on a continual loop.
Peterson chief executive Officer Erwin Kooij said: “We are always looking for new ways to improve our services. The eCargo system captures and further digitalizes quayside operations making them more transparent and efficient.
“The always-available progress portal allows logistics teams, both on and offshore, uninterrupted access to track shipments at any stage of their journey, providing real insight into how the job is progressing. As we lift across the quayside, the voyage screen is updated in real time and can be broken down in to the categories of lift that are being monitored.”
The technology is currently in use at Den Helder, Aberdeen Harbour and Great Yarmouth.
