Lots of tired faces in the departure lounge and mine is one of them.
The consensus is that this year is the biggest in terms of numbers of exhibitors and attendees for the last 20 years.
The mood on the exhibition floor is upbeat, particularly about the offshore segment.
Good to see a strong attendance from emerging markets – Nigeria, Brazil and Chinese. A sign of things to come! Our technical team think their products are increasingly credible but lacking the innovative technological edge of the UK and US suppliers.
The Simmons team have lots of following up to do from this week. We will get in a huddle on Monday and discuss priorities.
I stay downtown near the Simmons office when I am in Houston but most of our team join “little Aberdeen” in the Hilton Post Oak. One of our group described the scene there in the early hours of this morning as post-apocalyptic!
