OMV said its profits dropped by almost 40% compared with a year earlier.
The Austria oil and gas company said it had an operating loss of €2billion compared with an operating profit of just under €1billion in the previous year.
Earlier today, Marathon Oil said it had reduced its spending for 2016 by 50% on a continued low oil price.
