Tullow Oil said today it would work with Shell to explore for oil in the Atlantic Ocean.
The two firms did not reveal where they would focus their attention, but Tullow said they would look for discoveries in “under-explored frontier basins”. The company’s chief operating officer, Paul McDade, added the partnership could help Tullow gain access to projects it may not have been chosen for without Shell’s involvement.
