Oil fell to six-week lows yesterday as fresh concerns about the eurozone added to the economic gloom that knocked nearly 7% off prices this week.
Brent crude for November delivery settled down $1.52 at $103.97 a barrel after dropping to $103.43, its lowest since August 9. US November crude was off 66 cents at $79.85 after hitting a session low of $77.55, the lowest intraday for a front-month contract since August 9.
