South Atlantic-focused oil and gas explorer Rockhopper Exploration said today it had successfully completed drilling a sidetrack well in the North Falkland Basin.
A total of 377 feet of core was cut through the Beverley, Casper South, Casper and Sea Lion reservoirs. Rockhopper, which has a 60% interest, said the well would now be plugged and abandoned, with a further announcement made when the rig involved is off hire. Fellow UK-listed firm Desire Petroleum holds the remaining 40% interest.
