ENERGY industry training centre Survivex is planning to add 15 people to its workforce after a successful first six months.
The Dyce business said it now had 60 instructors and support staff after opening its doors in June and was already exceeding revenue projections.
Finance director Andrew Green said: “It has been a whirlwind first six months. We have gained Opito approval for our range of survival, lifting and industrial skills training courses and are continuing to develop our course programme to fit our customers training requirements and lifestyle, such as launching weekend courses.”
It is claimed the 53,000ft centre delivers the highest-quality, most realistic survival training in Europe.
Mr Green added: “Realistic training saves lives. Research carried out regarding military survival in life-and-death situations suggests that people are more likely to use survival skills learnt in a realistic environment.
“We have invested in facilities to realistically simulate North Sea conditions, so our training is more likely to save lives in the world’s most challenging environments. Our approach has hit a nerve with our customers, who have voted with their feet and helped us achieve phenomenal results.”
