A global asset-management fund has upped its holdings in energy service firm Wood Group to 18.02%.
Blackrock, the largest shareholder in Aberdeen-based Wood Group, has slowly been increasing its stake in the company over more than five years and is now its largest shareholder.
It manages £2.2trillion in assets for institutional and individual investors around the world.
In a statement last night, Wood Group said its chairman, Sir Ian Wood, now had a 6% stake in the firm.
The wider Wood Family owned 11% of the business, it added.
