International oil and gas facility service provider Petrofac said yesterday it had bought a subsea pipeline and engineering business.
Surrey-based KW will become part of Petrofac’s engineering and consulting service division as part of the deal.
Petrofac said KW, which employs 56 people including 20 in Aberdeen, had gross assets of £2.7million on March 31, 2011, but would not disclose the value of the deal. Martin Barnes, general manager of engineering and consulting services at Petrofac, said KW would complement the company’s skills while adding subsea capabilities.
