Venture-capital firm Energy Ventures (EV) has announced an investment of more than £7.5million in a pipeline-inspection company.
EV, which has an office in Aberdeen, said it had taken on a 56% stake in Norwegian business Halfwave for around £7.6million.
Halfwave develops and markets inspection products for the oil and gas industry, including acoustic resonance technology, which measures the thickness of pipeline walls.
Greg Herrera, an Aberdeen-based partner at EV, said it would help Halfwave to commercialise its product.
