Aberdeen firm Equalizer International has increased its global presence by signing up two new foreign distributors.
The international flange developer is hoping to expand its portfolio outside its traditional oil and gas market via the new deal with PHL Sales in Dublin by supplying Irish power industry, water, mining and renewable energy sectors.
The deal with Atlantic Bluewater Services in Nigeria extends the company’s presence in Africa, adding to its three hubs south of the continent.
The company has also extended its contract with Singapore-based Petracarbon PTE to distribute its products across Singapore in addition to the existing Malaysian market.
“We started 2013 with a goal of increasing our international network of distributors and raising our global profile,” said Ian McCormick, Equalizer International managing director.
“To support that, we opened our first overseas office, in Houston, in April and established a global sales and marketing team which includes a Sales and Marketing Manager Western Hemisphere based in the new office.
The company has made the announcement following a 30% half-year sales increase compared to last year.
“Working through our US distributor channels we are already seeing strong sales growth while the considerable interest in the SWi range [range of flange spreading wedges generating force of up to 25 tonnes] around the world has generated a very healthy sales pipeline.”
