Aberdeen-based oil and gas services company Tendeka has won a three-year contract to supply inflow control devices in the Middle East.
The contract will see Tendeka install around 30 ICD systems to 12 wells.
Tendeka says the contract with a major operator in the Middle East and North Africa, which has the option for a one-year extension, is its largest to date for installation of ICD technology in the Middle East.
“Installing ICDs in a well results in delayed water breakthrough because the inflow profile is evened out. This helps operators to maximise the well’s productivity and recovery factor,” said Tendeka vice president Derren Simpson.
He said the latest contract win followed other work landed in the Middle East.
This includes a contract to supply swellable packers for up to 50 wells in Qatar as well as contracts to provide the firm’s FloQuest rapid data visualisation and interpretation software for an operator in Qatar and Oman.
In December, Tendeka secured an £18million funding package from the Royal Bank of Scotland to support potential mergers and acquisitions activity.
Originally formed in 2008, the firm operates in 18 countries and provides completion and reservoir monitoring products and services to upstream oil and gas.
