Wood Group GTS has been awarded a 13-year maintenance contract worth around £4.2million for the Eagle Point power station in Westville, New Jersey.
The gas turbines arm of Aberdeen-based energy services giant Wood Group will provide maintenance services for two GE Frame 7EA gas turbines at the 225MW plant, run by Rockland Capital.
The firm will provide parts, repairs, field services and installation of a combustion management and monitoring system for the gas turbines.
This follows completion of a £3million field services inspection project at the plant in 2013.
“This award strengthens our relationship with Rockland Capital and we look forward to enhancing their investment in power generation technology,” said Wood Group GTS president Frank Avery.
