Senergy’s Survey & GeoEngineering (Senergy S&G) group has been awarded a major contract to support GDF SUEZ E&P UK Ltd for the next stage of the Cygnus gas project.
The win is the latest in a long line of collaborations for the pair.
Senergy S&G has provided project management on the project, which is located in the southern North Sea, since 2007.
The firm has now been retained to support onshore survey quality assurances, quality control and positioning management services. The scope of work is expected to extend through 2015.
Martin Day, Senergy S&G survey and positioning manager, said: “We look forward to building on our work with GDF SUEZ on the Cygnus project, extending our survey services into the construction phase of this major field development within UKCS. The contract is an excellent opportunity to further demonstrate our capabilities in construction survey, positioning and trenching assurance.
“We are particularly pleased to deploy and demonstrate the full power of our IRIS system, which will provide close visibility to the real time progress and status to GDF SUEZ throughout the project.”
